It was the boots-on-the-ground experience that fans had been asking for, after one too many futuristic titles. Despite of this, no fair accounting of 2019's Call of Duty could deny that, by-in-large, it was a return to form for the franchise, and the game that brought a lot of players back into the Call of Duty eco-system. There were SBMM issues, with a lot of players agreeing it was a little too strict, and the map design certainly left something to be desired.
